MAGA
The MAGA Golf Season has come upon us once more. This year we welcome any and all new players to expand our active roster. Below is a list of the 2002 schedule and proposed formats. The only tournament that is not confirmed would be the last one at Beavercreek Golf. Every other one has been confirmed. The Moss Creek & Beavercreek dates may be switched. The prices of the events will be sent out in future letters. Most tournaments will run between $45 to $59. That price includes golf, carts and prize fund. Some courses will supply driving range balls. Again this year prizes will be awarded for the accumulated totals for Money Winners, Net Points and Gross Points. Unlike last years total accumulations the monies won from the 2 man scramble will count in the year end totals.

The 1st tournament for the 2002 season will be a 2 Man scramble with full handicap. There will be individual closest to the pins on all par 3's. Also there will be an optional gross and skins jackpots for whoever is interested. Those side jackpots will be $10 per team. Tee times will start around 11:00 AM and range balls are included in this tournament. The price of this tournament will be $52. The entry deadline is something that needs to be met for all tournaments this year. Most of the courses require 7 to 10 days in advance notice on how many players are participating. Because down payments have been made to some courses, a final number of players must be known by the deadline. Don't be shutout like some players were last year. This tournament deadline is March 21st. Entry fees and monies must be received by this day. Also at the bottom of this years entries will be a line to prepay for the side games if interested. Maybe this will free up some of the time for the people running the tournament to practice putting and be able to hit balls. USGA handicaps must be paid for 2002 before the May tournament. Also when entering your first tournament you must pay your membership fee of $20. This fee can be paid anytime before the first tournament if you want too. Also when sending in your membership application, fill in all of the blanks so the board can update any changes from last years information. E-mails are being used by T.J. Cope to provide tee times if you have one available. If not any questions can be directed to:
