There were a few people who chose not to enter the low net that would have cashed.

There is no need to mention their names.

In an effort to get information to the members TJ Cope has developed a website with information about past and future tournaments. Log on if you have Internet and check it out. We will try to use more of this in the year 2002. Entry blanks can be obtained by going to the entry and printing out the form. The web page site is:

The next tournament will be held at Walden Ponds. The cost for this tournament will be $57. Included in this price will be golf, cart, range balls and tournament prize fund.

The date of this tournament will be August 10th with tee times starting at 11:27 AM.  Sign up as a twosome and pairings will be blind drawn. Like all our remaining tourneys full handicap will be used.

For all members there are optional side pots that consist of:

$5 Low Gross

$5  Low Net

$5  Skins

These side jackpots can be sent in with your entry fee if you know that you are going to get into them. This will help free up time for the people running the tournament to also hit some balls. All players should check in at the table or designated location so the tournament committee knows they are at the course and also to see if they are interested in getting into the side jackpots. If you have a preference on tee times, we will try to accommodate you if possible. The earlier your entry is received the more chance you have of receiving the request.

The deadline for the Walden Ponds  Tournament will be Thursday August 1, 2002. So mail your entries in as soon as possible.  If your entry is not received before Thursday, you could be shutout. Therefore return your entry blanks back as soon as possible. No spots can be held. If you want to play return your entry and money on time. The August Tournament is scheduled for Walden Ponds. Walden Ponds is starting us off both sides at 11:27 with another outing scheduled after ours. So entries must be in on time to let them know the number of players. People will be playing behind us so tee times will not be able to be added. This is a quick tournament from the last one but people should know if they are going to play.

For people who are mailing their entries in separate, make sure your partners also mail in their entries. Blue jeans may not be proper dress for Walden Ponds.

Before turning in your card it is your responsibility to check the scores and make sure they are right. If there is a mistake tell your partners and make the correction before turning in the card. We, the board, do not check scorecards unless your team or an individual cashes in one of the side games. If you turn in an incorrect card that is higher, the board does not change the score.

Overall points for gross, net and money leaders are on the web sight for everyone to access. Bonus money will be given to the leaders of each of these categories at the end of the year.
