With the end of 2025 I want to pass on the problem from this year. There have been many golfers who have expressed a desire not to play with certain golfers because of slow play or other various reasons. Starting next year entries are still due 10 days in advance of the tournaments, with the exception of Heatherwoode which is 14 days in advance.

Because many golfers are signing up to play and then backing out before the tournament, golfers who back out after paying money will forfeit $20 of their entry for prize money. The exception to this is if a medical injury or sudden death does not allow you to play. Way too many golfers backed out this year.

We end the 2025 year with a nice day for golf. With 16 golfers playing the last tournament a few of the regulars decided not to play. Hope they will return next year and add a few new golfers too. Almost all of our tournaments were played with about 16 to 20 golfers. It would have been nice to have a few more but we will go with what we have. Is there any ideas to increase the number of golfers or formats to drive up interest. It was disappointing to have only 8 golfers for the Cassel Hills tourney.

This concludes the schedule for the 2025 season. Hope to see all of you next year in the MAGA. The tournaments will run from April through October in the year 2026. Just a little hint that tournament fees will probably increase a little because of the cost of golf.

Hope to see you next year and bring a friend to increase the number of members. This year we did not have more golfers and the numbers were down a little.

Changes for next year will be the trading of teams score cards to prevent a difference in scores.

Also we need to start putting out all holes. If you do not we will have to disqualify you from tournaments. This has to be accounted for by all golfers. Too many golfers are giving putts and not finishing holes. Net points are determined by final scores and year end results are affected.
