Again I and the families of Jerry McIntosh (April) & Larry Lawson (Linda) would like to thank all that contributed after the passing of 2 of our longtime members. Jerry’s family was given some food & drinks that was a last minute idea to help feed the family that came to the funeral. Larry’s family was given a monetary donation during the pandemic time that allowed them to use however they chose. The donation was more than $700.

 The 1st tournament of the year was played at Hamilton Elks with 30 players. This included a few new players and  6 new players Ryan Crist, Brad Mattingly, Garrison Ryan, Stu Locke, Tim Greive and Jason Harrison. Hope all of the new members continue to play future tournaments and bring some friends to join. I thought the weather was the best day we had so far this year. With people having handicaps at a bunch of different locations this year don’t forget to enter your MAGA scores at the appropriate locations.

 For the people who have not paid for their USGA handicap that needs to be done or you will be penalized for not doing so. I will adjust your handicap accordingly. If you don't have a paid USGA handicap in the GHIN System by next tournament your handicap will be lowered. If you don’t have a handicap in the Ghin System an adjustment will be made and it will lower your strokes.

The next tournaments will be held at Cassel Hills on Saturday & Yankee Trace on Sunday. The entry fee is $59 for Saturday and $59 for Sunday. The format is a four man double best ball on Saturday and a 2 man both best ball on Sunday. Saturday will be a sign up of twosomes and a blind draw for teams.The date is May 14^th and May 15^th . The entries are due by May 4^rh. Tee times start around 12:30 on both days.

Make sure you post your MAGA scores in your ghin handicap after our tournaments. I will randomly check to see if scores were entered.

 For the people who have trouble getting their entry in on time, you need to make sure it gets in the mail on Monday so I can get the entries before Thursday. Because of slow mail now remember to mail your entries in early. Allow at least 4 days before due date.
