During the offseason we lost 2 longtime & regular MAGA members in Jerry McIntosh December 27, 2021 from covid 19 & Larry Lawson January 9, 2022 from pancreatic cancer. Both passed away suddenly and will be missed by many that were longtime friends. Also Barry Wills will no longer be playing as he has moved to Florida after retirement. If anyone knows of any new golfers who would like to play in MAGA, have them contact me for more information. Russ Yenser 513-571-7931. Membership is open to all golfers.
The 2022 MAGA Season has started with no changes from last year. You don’t have to play in everyone but it will help you for the yearly totals. It is even more important to get your entry in on time because I will not see people as much since the golfers are more spread out this year. Hopefully we can add a few more members this year along with keeping the old ones. Also in September after the Armco Park Tourney we will be grilling hamburgers & hotdogs like before. We will still sign up as individuals for 2 of the last 3 tournaments and play a 2 man best ball format. At Armco Park we will draw for partners after the round and at Wildwood we will draw before the round. Handicaps will still be used in all these tourneys.
Below is a list of the 2022 schedule and formats. Again this year prizes will be awarded for the accumulated totals for Money Winners, Net Points and Side Games. All tournaments will count in tabulating the year end totals. The last 3 tourneys will be double points. Information for this year and past can be obtained by going to MAGA website of WWW.TJCOPE.NET/MAGA.
This year we need to have an updated application for new & old members. Make sure to include your name, e-mail, ghin number, location or course of handicap and telephone number. You may send in your yearly application fee and first tournament fee whenever you want. All of these golf courses are not yet confirmed at this time and could change. Applications are on the MAGA website.
