August
2019

The 5th tournament of the year was played at Kings Island. It was a beautiful day with a little intermission about half way through the round.
The next tournament is at Beavercreek Golf Course. The date has been changed from August 17th, Saturday to August 18th, Sunday. Tee time s will start at 9:00 AM. The course ask me if we could change days to accommodate a larger outing that was rained out earlier in the year. By doing so they lowered the price from $40 to $24 per person for the cost of golf. Entry fee will be $40 plus side games. So total will be $50 if you get in the side games.
There was also some discussion and posting scores in the USGA handicap system. Most people post their scores but there are a few golfers who need to either play more golf or post the scores when you do play. Remember most golfers can only take a 7 when figuring handicaps so anything over a 7 for people under 20 handicaps must be subtracted when posting scores.

In an effort to get information to the members TJ Cope has developed a website. The web page site is:

The deadline for the Beavercreek Tournament will be Wednesday August 14th.. Entry fee for this tourney is $40 per man which includes greens fee and prize fund .The tee times will start around 9:00 AM. This is a 3 man double best ball format. You can pick your own foursome to play with but we will have a blind draw when you finish to determine teams. Don’t leave until you have drawn a card to see which team you are on. You can sign up as a twosome or a foursome if you want to play with someone. Individuals who do not have partners need to send in their money if they want to play too. I will try and pair them together if possible.
