The 2nd
tournament of the year was played at Hamilton Elks with 24 players. It
was a beautiful day for golf. There was a mistake made by me in
selecting the tees. I misread the scorecard and thought there was
another set of tees past the blue tees. By the time of the notice the
first group had already teed off and we just went with it. It did not
hurt that much and everybody played from the same tees.
Also dont
forget to enter your MAGA scores into your USGA Handicap so your
handicaps will be figured accurately. All scores should be
entered into your USGA Handicaps. For the people who have not paid for
their USGA handicap that needs to be done or you will be penalized for
not doing so. I will adjust
your handicap accordingly. If you don't have a paid USGA handicap in the
GHIN System by next tournament your handicap will be lowered.

Herb Holmes The next tournament will be held at Kings Island
on Saturday & Yankee Trace on Sunday. The entry fee is $52 for Saturday
and $50 for Sunday. The format is a two man alternate holes on Saturday
and a four man triple best ball on Sunday. The date is May 14th and May
15th . The entries are due by May 4th Tee times start around 12:00 on
Saturday and around 12:28 on Sunday. If there are any different formats we are not
using, give your suggestion to either Russ Yenser or TJ Cope for
consideration. |

Also there are a couple of other changes that
occurred due to some conflicts. The first is the cost of Yankee Trace is
lowered to $50 entry fee. Keep in mind that Yankee Trace is having some
road work done in front of golf course and you may need to leave a
little earlier because of the delays. Second the August tourney scheduled at Weatherwax
is changing to August 13th with tee times starting around 9:00. At Hamilton Elks the changing of the tees caused
some adjustments in handicaps and also the misadding of the individual
scores caused a changing of the totals. |
