The 6th tournament of the year was played at Heatherwoode Golf Couse where we experienced a rain shorten tournament. As of now this is the outcome and return policies of funds. All players with the exception of George Lackens that did not finish will receive a $20 credit for a raincheck to be used whenever you wish. All yearly totals will be counted for this tournament. All prize funds, skins and low net will be reduced to half of the original totals. Closest to the pins will remain at the customary $20. Scores will be used for the front nine only. All scores for holes after the front will be cancelled. So basically if you were in both skins and low net you will receive a refund of $20 credit from Heatherwoode and a cash back of $13 for the prize funds. We again had only 28 players which seems to be the normal anymore. Here are the scores and prize winnings.

It was brought to my attention during the Heatherwoode and other tournaments of the pace of play from various members. Heatherwoode had two foursomes that slowed the pace down quite a bit. We need to pay a little more attention and keep up in future tournies. Although the slow play would not have allowed all players to finish before the rain. No one group should get 2 full holes behind at all regardless how many balls you lose. You must pick up the pace and narrow the gap between groups. I dont need to name players you know who you are.
Also it was brought to attention of some players lack of entering scores for handicap purposes. I rarely enter a MAGA score unless told by someone to do so but I have entered scores from some of the low nets that were missing after tournaments. Do your part and enter all scores in your USGA or I will have to make adjustments to your handicaps. |
