The 3rd & 4th tournaments of the year were played at Beckett Ridge & Yankee Trace.
Let me first say a speedy recover to my partner Larry Lawson who had 6 valve heart by-pass surgery and will be out for a while. Also a get well to Mark Robertson who also had neck and back surgery.
Most people expected to get wet this weekend but for the most part it stayed relatively dry and the course was firm. It was decided to play the white tees both days because of potential wetness and weather conditions. Although I thought it was fair at Beckett Ridge, the course at Yankee Trace was too short and I think it took away some of the harder holes.
Remember you must have a USGA paid handicap or you will be penalized on your handicap. Also if you are a single you can still send in your entry because others are missing partners due to vacations and injuries.
Let me say if you do not hole out every hole it has an effect on the yearly gross & net points for others. So finish every hole or you will be given a par for that hole for handicap purposes.

The deadline for the Hueston Woods Tournament will be Wednesday May 29th. Entry fee for this tourney is $45 per man which includes greens fee and prize fund. Carts are not included in this price. You must pay for your own. The tee times will start around 10:00 AM. This is a 2 man both balls. You can sign up as a foursome or twosome. Individuals who do not have partners need to send in their money if they want to play too. I will try and pair them together if possible.
