We would like to start this newsletter by congratulating Roger Campbell for recorded his 2nd hole-in-one at Weatherwax on the Valley View #6 hole in late May. There was only 1 issue with his feat and that was he was playing by himself and was only witnessed by the black crow that was sitting adjacent to the green in the big oak tree. Upon completion of his round John Kurznowski informed him without the shot being validated or witnessed by a human, that it would not be able to be posted on the board inside the pro shop. Regardless of the circumstances it is still a feat that has not been experienced by many golfers

The 5th  tournament of the year was played from the tips at Hueston Woods with only 28 players on a pretty nice day for golf.

If you sign up as a single I will do my best to pair you with another person. There is no guarantee I can accommodate everyone.

The next tournament will be held at Heatherwoode Golf Course on Saturday July 21st  starting at around 11:00. The cost is $55 per person. The format of this tourney will be a four man all balls. Sign up as a twosome and people will be paired by a blind draw.the deadline for entries is July 11th.  Like all of our remaining tourneys full handicap will be used.

There will not be a Sunday tournament in July.

There is an attempt to try to add another tournament at Browns Run  if they are willing to lower their price and availability is there. If this does happen it will be played on a Sunday in either August or October.

With the completion at Hueston Woods this ends the adventure of playing a tournament from the Senior Tees and the Back Tees to get a response from the MAGA players. Your comments from both tournaments would be encouraged to see if we would like to schedule next years in accordance.

Anyone with any new ideas please feel free to let TJ Cope or Russ Yenser know so we can consider them for future trials.

Another late reminder, if you have not obtained a USGA handicap by now you are hurting your handicap and teammates of valuable strokes.

Also for those people who shot  lower scores at Hueston Woods they should be entered by you before July so I do not have to adjust handicaps or make sure it gets recorded. The rating was 73.2 and the slope was 130.
