The 1st tournament of the 2012 year was held at Walden Ponds. We had 32 golfers for the first tournament. Remember to sign up for your handicap cards as soon as possible.
To start out the year right Jim Flannery recorded his first hole in one on Tuesday March 27, 2012 only to follow it up with a hole in one on #2 hole at Walden Ponds on March 31, 2012. The hole played 170 yards and he used a #4 Hybrid. Congratulations to Jim. This is the 4th hole in one to be recorded on record for a MAGA Tournament.
In order to fulfill the request of some members we will be playing the Senior Tees at Weatherwax on our next tournament. The format is a triple best ball with you picking your own 4 man team. If there are only 2 of you we will pair you together.
The winners were Mark Mattingly & Jim Wendel with a 4 team tie for 2nd place.

Remember to pay your membership fee even if you have not played yet. Anyone who hasn’t paid by May will be dropped from e-mails and future mailings.
The next tournament will be held at Weatherwax Golf Course. The cost for this tournament will be $45. The date of this tournament will be April 21st with tee times starting around 10:30. The format of this tourney is a 4 man 3 best balls. Sign up as a

twosome or a foursome. If you are a member or work at Weatherwax the cost is $15. No carts are included in these fees. The deadline for Weatherwax is April 11th.
Like all our remaining tourneys full handicap will be used. All players need to pay for their handicaps so they can be found in the GHIN System. Scores must be posted at your respective courses.
For the new members there are optional side pots that consist of low gross, low net and skins. If a person didn’t have a paid handicap for the first tourney he should get one before the next date. Get your handicap cards paid before the next tournament.
There are months throughout the year that have 2 events for a given month like May, July and September. So save your money so you can enter as many as you can or want too.
