The final tournament of the year 2009 ended with a 24 hour delay because of wet grounds. The team of  Don Hartness & Terry Halderman won the final event. The first tournament for next year will be played 1n March at a site to be determined. We hope we can get a few new members for 2009. We averaged about 34 players per tournament but would like to get that number up to about 48 if we can.  If you have any suggestions for next year contact TJ Cope or Russ Yenser.

This concludes the schedule for the 2009 season. Hope to see all of you next year in the MAGA. The tournaments will run from March through October in the year 2010.

Also there is a group of golfers that are going to Florida in mid February 2010 for an annual trip. The cost of this adventure is between $650 and $700 plus. If anyone from MAGA would be interested you can contact Russ Yenser 513-571-7931 before the end of October. We are looking to get 20 players. For more information give us a call. We play 5 rounds of golf and stay 5 nights. This trip is usually from Thursday thru Tuesday. We are going to Florida this year to get temperatures up in the 70’s or higher.

A big issue for me this year was getting your scores posted on your USGA. Some people were penalized for not submitting their scores from MAGA Tournaments. I singled out a few of them in one newsletter. If this happens next year their handicaps will be adjusted to compensate the lack of entries. These can be put in on the internet from home with your name and GHIN number. It only takes a minute or two.

Also the addition of the par 3 shootout at Armco Park seemed to be a hit with most of the people that played. We would like to hear your feedback on courses and formats for our tournaments.
