The 6th tournament of the year was like a nice fall day but in the month of July. The tournament winners were:

The deadline for the Beavercreek Tournament will be Wednesday August 5th . Entry fee for this tourney is $55 per man which includes greens fee, cart and prize fund. The tee times will start around 11:00 AM.
The Beavercreek Tourney will be a two man customized stableford system. Sign up as a twosome or foursome and we will blind draw if need be. The points for this tournament are changing do to some members feelings that a triple bogey should lose more than a double bogey. The points are as follows:
-6 More than triple bogey -4 Triple bogey -2 Double bogey 0 Bogey +1 Par +3 Birdie +5 Eagle +8 Double eagle
Also we are playing two tournaments next month with a first trial tournament at a par 3 course. The longest hole on the front nine is less than 200 yards and the back nine has 3 par 4s that can be reached from the tee.
The Warren County / Armco Park Par 3 Shootout Tournament will be held Sunday August 16th and the entry fee is $32 for people under 55 years of age and $30 for people 55

years and older. The tee times will start around 9:00 AM. There are some carts available but are not included with the entry fee.
The format for this tourney will be a two man best ball and deadline for this tourney is also August 5th . This tourney you will sign up as a single and will be blind drawn for teams. For those of you who do not know this course is a Par 3. The 18 hole course is a total of Par 57. This is an experiment to see what the members think. This will be two man team best ball with 50% of your handicap. Also there will be a closest to the pin on every hole for $10. All holes can be reached from the tee by someone but not me. This tourney will not be counted in our MAGA handicaps because there is no course rating or slope. Money winnings , net points and gross points will be counted for the yearly totals.
There are a few people who still may need a partner for one of the upcoming tournaments. If you want to play send in your entry and money and I will try to pair you up. There is no guarantee I can find a partner to pair you with all the time.
To end I checked most of the members USGA handicaps to see how many scores were posted in your handicaps. Although there are lots of people who dont post all their scores, there are some members who havent posted enough scores to cover the number of MAGA tournaments they have played this year. It is up to you to post all your scores. I do not post any MAGA scores in your USGA handicaps.
