The 4th tournament of the year was played on a Sunday at Weatherwax after a washout on Saturday at Hueston Woods. I received many calls from people who were willing to play or wanted to play after the deadline date. If you want to play send in your money and entry before the deadline. We continue to get calls from people who want to enter too late. Although we want to increase the number of players, we are not going to allow you to pick your partners after the deadline. Having 40 to 60 players per tournament would be ideal and would supply adequate prizes for each outing. There were 28 players at Weatherwax and 40 scheduled to play at Hueston Woods with at least 9 other players who expressed interest after the fact. The way it turned out with the cancellation maybe they can enter during our makeup date. That date has not yet been finalized as of yet. We may double up in one of the tournaments remaining to play some courses that people have expressed an interest in doing so.
The winners were Jim Drury, Hank Gross, George Gross and Dick Freeman who won easily in beating the closest team by 16 strokes.

The next tournament will be held at Kings Island Golf Course. The date of this tournament will be July 26th with tee times starting around 12:00 PM. The format for this tourney will be a two man alternating nines. Sign up as twosomes and we will blind draw the pairings and tee times. Entry fee for this tourney is $53 which includes greens fees, cart, and prize fund. Entry deadline for this tournament is July 16th .
If you have money due to you from Hueston Woods cancellation, send in your entry and note on it that you want to use your credit. The entry fee of $53 is what most people were due. If you want in side games or are not due that much money send in the difference.

Another note for the record. A guest is a person who may have moved out of state and is returning and wants to play in a MAGA Tourney or a totally new player that has yet to play in a MAGA Tourney. This does not include a person who played for years in MAGA and now wants to play a selected date or course. Also no guest is permitted to play the last tourney of the year. If we come up with an odd number of players and need to fill a foursome, the membership fee will be waived. But there are several members who are not signing up as twosomes and have been paired with other single members.
Remember if you dont send the money in for the tournament you are not entered.
Any past member must have paid his membership by now or will not receive mailings or future entries. So if you are not getting your information anymore then you have been put in the inactive list. If you are a paid member and are not receiving information let Russ Yenser or TJ Cope know so it can be corrected.
