The 2nd tournament of the 2007 year was held at Shaker Run on a nice day  after our postponement. The tournament was won by the lower handicaps on this day. First place was won by Herb Holmes, Steve Goertemiller, Mark Augspurger and Steve Akers.

In an effort to get information to the members TJ Cope has developed a website with information about past and future tournaments. Log on if you have internet and check it out. We will try to use more of this in the years to come.. The web page site is:

Anyone who has not paid for his or her membership will no longer receive anymore information by mail or the internet after this letter. You will be dropped from the internet and mailing list.

Also individual and team scores can be seen on the website for every tournament. Also there is a list of all active members along with their handicaps on this page.

Also if you do not have a paid USGA handicap by the next tournament you will get an adjusted handicap. All members should have a paid handicap before next tournament. Also there are a few people who did not pay there annual memberships. You will have to pay before you are allowed to play in another tourney.

For some of the new players, there is an accumulated yearly point system that pays out at the end of the year. These points can be seen on the website under yearly results. We hope the new players can recruit some friends to join MAGA also. There is a $5 rebate for every new member that joins.

The next tourney is May 5, 2007 at Beckett Ridge. This is the first time MAGA has played this course. After playing a couple of weeks ago they have the fastest greens I have played on.The format is two man  both balls.Tee times will start around 12:35 PM. The cost of this tourney is $59 that includes greens fee, cartand prizes.prizes  The entry deadline has already pasted.

Remember to send in your side games with your entry so there is no confusion and you are not left off the list.
