The 1st tournament of the 2007 year was held at Stonelick Hills on a soggy ground day but a beautiful sunshine day for golf. Because of the course conditions we were allowed to play additional holes at no charge but was not taken advantage of but by a few. We had 32 golfers for the first tournament. The reason the course was under repair was to fix the problems on hole #1 tee and to refurbish the fairway with bunkers and repair the green on #10 before the Womens Future Tour Tournament in June. Everyone but one person was in the skin game. Remember to sign up for your handicap cards as soon as possible. The winners are as follows:

Remember to pay your membership fee even if you have not played yet. Anyone who hasnt paid by May will be dropped from e-mails and future mailings.
The next tournament will be held at Shaker Run. The cost for this tournament will be $59. Included in this price will be golf, cart, range balls and tournament prize fund. The date of this tournament will be April 14th with tee times starting at 8:30 AM. The format of this tourney is a 4 man 6/6/6. (Double , Triple All Four Balls Best Score) Sign up as a twosome. Like all our remaining tourneys full handicap will be used. If new players have not yet established a handicap by tournament time, I will figure it. Scores must be posted at your respective courses. For the new members there are optional side pots that consist of low gross, low net and skins. If a person didnt have a paid handicap for the first tourney he should get one before the next date. Some courses will drop you at the beginning of the calendar year. So get your handicap cards paid before the next tournament. |
The deadline for the Shaker tournament will be Wednesday April 4th. This date is a little quick notice so get your entries in as soon as possible.
Remember there is a dress code at Shaker Run. No blue jeans or cut-off jeans are allowed.
