The final tournament of the year 2006 ended with the team of Barry Wills, Richard May. Chris Wyler and Greg Emerson winning on a nice but cool day. I am surprised we did not get more players for Wildwood. It was a good price to play but the number of players were a bit disappointing.  The first tournament for next year will be played on March 31st at a site to be determined.

Any suggestions on courses or formats need to be made soon because tournaments and locations are set near December. We hope we can get a few new members for 2006. Hopefully we can get a few more members for next year. There were a little more than 60 members for this year. We averaged about 35 players per tournament but would like to get that number up to about 48 if we can. The year end awards were won by different people this year. These awards are given to try and encourage players to play in all the tournaments.

This concludes the schedule for the 2006 season. Hope to see all of you next year in the MAGA. Remember there is a $5 recruiting fee for any MAGA member who gets a new player for next year. The tournaments will run from March through October in the year 2007. Starting out the first tournament people who previously had e-mails will continue to get them, people who were mailed, will be sent in the mail. This information will be sent out sometime around the beginning of March. You can send in your membership fee with that entry.

You can also send in the membership fees early if you want. Application can be obtained on the website.

This years late entries got worse as the year progressed. Remember these entries are to be received by the date on Wednesday, not mailed by then. Get them in earlier next year if you want to play. All you have to do is mail the entries in early. They can be sent in before the deadline if you definitely want to play. Also if you are a single and want to play, mail your entries in on time. There is no guarantee I can pair you up, but most of the time there are other single players.
