The 2nd tournament of the 2006 year was held at Shaker Run on a nice but soggy comfortable day. First place was won by Don Hartness, Terry Halderman, Dennis Daley and a first time player Jeff Walker. In a tie with the above mentioned was John Knechtly. George Lackens, and two more first time players Ron Miller and Mike Whittaker. We hope that we can continue to add some new players. Part of last years crop is yet to play. The results are as follows:

In an effort to get information to the members TJ Cope has developed a website with information about past and future tournaments. Log on if you have internet and check it out. We will try to use more of this in the years to come.. The web page site is: TJCOPE.NET/MAGA
Anyone who has chosen the internet option will not receive anymore paper material from MAGA. All information is located on the above website. Anything that has a line under the heading can be printed.
Anyone who has not paid for his or her membership will no longer receive anymore information by mail or the internet after this letter. You will be |
dropped from the internet and mailing list.
Also individual and team scores can be seen on the website for every tournament. Also there is a list of all active members along with their handicaps on this page.
If you have any monies coming for past tournaments they can be picked up before the next tournament when you check in.
Also if you do not have a paid USGA handicap by the next tournament you will get an adjusted handicap. All members should have a paid handicap before next tournament. Also there are a few people who did not pay there annual memberships. You will have to pay before you are allowed to play in another tourney.
We would like to welcome two new players, Ron Miller and Mike Whittaker who both started out with a winning debut. For some of the new players, there is an accumulated yearly point system that pays out at the end of the year. These points can be seen on the website under yearly results. We hope the new players can recruit some friends to join MAGA also. There is a $5 rebate for every new member that joins.
The next tourney is May 13, 2006 at Walden Ponds. The format is two man single best ball. Tee times will start around 1:00 PM. The cost of this tourney is $59 that includes greens fee, cart, prizes and range balls if it is not to wet. The entry deadline is on Wednesday May 3rd.
Remember to send in your side games with your entry so there is no confusion and you are not left off the list.
