Lets start by saying there were a few good rounds played on a beautiful day at Shaker Run. Although I thought the course was in bad shape the weather was nice. There were three people who tied or beat their lowest MAGA rounds. They were Scott Sloneker (76), John Stanton (82) and Kihm Pinson (89). All cashed in the team game.
Now to the business at large. There are several new members who have yet to get a USGA handicap. If you havent paid for your USGA handicap before the May tournament you will not receive any handicap. The next tournament will be two separate tournaments, Saturday and Sunday. Saturdays tourney will be a two man best ball at Walden Ponds starting around noon on May 14th. The cost for Saturday is $57 and is due by May 4th.
The tournament on Sunday May 15th is $55 and tee times start around noon also. The entry is due by May 4th too. If you are going to play in one or both the entries and money should be turned in at the same time. Included in this tourney will be a hamburger or hot dog, potato chips and a soft drink. Also the tournament format for Sunday will be alternating nines for a two man team. During Saturdays tourney you can sign up as a twosome and be paired with another twosome or you can sign up as a foursome if there is somebody you want to play with. The format is still a two man team though. Sundays tourney will sign up as twosomes and be blind draw for pairings.
Majestic Springs is a relatively new course that is located just past Caesars Creek Flea Market. Take Rt. 73 east to Hale Road, turn right. At Webb Road veer to the right go 1.5 miles. Turn right on Todds Fork Road. Majestic Springs is on the right. |

Anyone who has chosen the internet option will not receive anymore paper material from MAGA. All information is located on the above website. Anything that has a line under the heading can be printed.
Anyone who has not paid for his or her membership will no longer receive anymore information by mail or the internet after this letter. You will be dropped from the internet and mailing list.
Also individual and team scores can be seen on the website for every tournament. Also there is a list of all active members along with their handicaps on this page.
If you have any monies coming for past tournaments they can be picked up before the next tournament when you check in.
