The 7th tournament of the year saw probably the best weather ever for a MAGA event.

I am sad to say that 6 people didn’t meet the entry deadline and were unable to compete. Get your entries in on time if you want to play. If there is some doubt that your entry will not be received on time give a call to Russ Yenser and arrangements can be made to drop your entry to him or some other board member.

Saturdays winners were Jeff Young & George Gross who tied with Russ Yenser & Larry Lawson because Larry missed a three foot putt on the last hole. The teams shot a score of 62. Sundays winners were Dave Callsen & Nick Callsen who shot a score of 59.  Included in this score was a remarkable 5 under 31 in the alternate shot format.

The next tournament will be held at Heatherwoode Golf Course. This will be our final tournament of the year 2004. The date of this tournament will be October 9th with tee times starting around 10:30 AM. The format for this tourney will be a single man individual tourney. Sign up as individuals and we will blind draw the tee times. This will be the first tournament you will play without your partners unless you draw to play with them. There will be no net side pot. The deadline for the Heatherwoode Tournament will be Thursday September 30th. Entry fee for this tourney is $50 which includes greens fees, cart, prize fund and range balls.

We are looking at playing some different courses next year. Price and travel time must be considered. Walden Ponds will be played next year and Legendary Run is being considered.
