DONT BE SHUTOUT
This is the final warning, if your entry is not received by May 6th or sooner you will not be allowed to enter the Moss Creek Tourney. If you mail your entries make sure they will be in the P.O. Box on or before the given date. If you are entering as a twosome both entries must be received or you will be paired with another paid on time entry. Entries can be hand delivered to John Stanton, TJ Cope or Russ Yenser. All it takes is about 10 minutes and a 37 cent stamp to get your entry in on time. So dont be shutout. The entry deadline is something that needs to be addressed to assure the number of golfers playing and to end the abusive late entries for the remaining tournaments.
The 2nd tournament of the 2004 year was held at Shaker Run on a nice comfortable day. The winners are as follows:

Anyone who has chosen the internet option will not receive anymore paper material from MAGA. All information is located on the above website. Anything that has a line under the heading can be printed.
There were 16 new or past members who played at Shaker Run in April. I hope the number of players continues to stay at 68 like our last tournament.
The next tournament will be held at Moss Creek. The date of this tournament will be May 15th with tee times not starting until 11:00 AM. The format for this tournament is a |
4 MAN DOUBLE BEST BALL. Sign up as a twosome. Teams will be blind drawn together. You will not play with your teammates. Members should check in upon arrival at the golf course so we know that you are there.
The deadline for the Moss Creek Tournament will be Thursday May 6th. Entry fee for this tourney is $40 which includes greens fees and prize fund. Carts must be paid separately. You can walk if you want too.
Remember you must have a paid handicap by this tournament. You are also responsible for posting your scores for handicap purposes. For some of you who are not aware of the fact, you can now post your scores from your home computer if you have internet. Weatherwax handicaps can do this. Some others may have this capability also. If you have any questions on how to do this give TJ Cope a call at 424-0117 and he will help you set it up if needed.
Also individual and team scores can be seen on the website for every tournament. Also there is a list of all active members along with their handicaps on this page.
If you have any monies coming for past tournaments they can be picked up before the next tournament when you check in.
The format for this last tournament was extremely difficult which contributed for no team shooting under par. Although some didnt like the format it rewarded the teams who played the best at the end. This may be played at a different course next year to not be so hard.
