The  3rd tournament of the 2004  year was held at Moss Creek on another nasty wet day. We have started a tradition of playing in terrible conditions at Moss Creek regardless of the time of year.

To start it was nice to see that everyone but three people got their entry money in on time. These three were allowed to play because we needed three to make the foursomes even. If they would have been even these three would not have been able to enjoy such a perfect day for golf. Of these three one did cash in on the team game. Also like this last tournament and for future tournaments the deadline is the time the money should be received in the Post Office Box or delivered to one of the board members.

The next tournament will be held at Hueston Woods.  The date of this tournament will be June 5th with tee times starting at 8:00 AM. The format of this tourney is a 2 MAN BOTH BALL. Sign up as a twosome.

This price of $40 does not include a cart or range balls. The deadline for this tourney is May 27, 2004. You can walk if you want too.

People will be paired by a blind draw. Like all of our remaining tourneys full handicap will be used.  I do not post scores from the MAGA Tournaments to your USGA handicaps. This is something you are supposed to do. We do occasionally check to see if some of our low net people post the low scores too. If someone continues to stay at a higher handicap in their USGA without posting all their scores we will question their handicaps.

Members should check in upon arrival at the golf course so we know that you are there.

We currently have about 69 members in the MAGA. That is down from the

74 or so from last year. We hope to continue to add more members in the future. Remember anyone who adds a new paying member that was not on last years list will receive a $5 refund for recruiting a new member. Past members would count if they didn’t play or belong last year.
